DAWN MARIE ELLISON

Dawn Marie Ellison, a 43-year-young single mom who lives in the New York metro area, has a successful career in New York City as a marketing and broadcasting industry professional. Dawn has been a Cougar for the past six years since her divorce from her college sweetheart of seventeen years. She has dated a myriad of men at least ten years younger, some as many as seventeen years her junior. She strongly believes that the Cougar/Cub relationship is a spiritual, emotional, and sensual connection as well sexual. 

Dawn is the epitome of a “Ph.D.” (“Picking Hot Dudes”) Cougar. Currently, she is actively dating Cubs ranging in age from late 20’s–early 30’s, usually juggling multiple young men at once.

Although she loves her Cougar lifestyle, she is straight-up and refuses to sugar-coat her experiences, even when they are less than fabulous. Her connections with her Cubs are often unforgettable: the majority of her former Cubs reappear in her life, in some cases months or years later. 

Dawn co-wrote COUGAR AND THE CUB with Bernie Hernando (one of her former Cubs). They also conduct Cougar and Cub dating advice workshops and host Cougar and the Cub parties and events

BERNARDO HERNANDO III

Bernardo Hernando III (Bernie), a 28-year-old from the suburbs of Metro New York working in financial services, exemplifies the attributes of a quintessential Cub. His good looks, charisma, and ultra-bright smile are balanced by a down-to-earth personality, open mind, and sense of humility. He was groomed by Cougars for eight years to develop into a man of confidence and direction.
 
He began to walk the life of a Cub at age of eighteen. Bernie’s decision to date Cougars came from his desire to enhance and develop his understanding of women, especially the mind and body of a woman who reaches her 30s and beyond. He’s dated Cougars from all walks and stages of life: from women with successful careers in high-powered positions to women surviving day-to-day on alimony.

Cougars have found his open heart, honesty, and full disclosure especially compelling.  Conversations full of substance, intense listening, an ability to stay grounded, dressing well, and meshing with any social environment have made him especially desirable to older women.

Bernie is a major advocate of the Cougar/Cub phenomenon and is a reliable source of information, advice, and experience of this lifestyle. He is passionately committed to helping others see the Cougar/Cub lifestyle as an evolving choice. He co-authored Cougar and the Cub with Dawn Ellison, formerly one of his Cougars, and conducts Cougar/Cub dating advice workshops and events with her.
